Aftermarket Scratch

FRAME MODEL: ROOK FRAME STYLE: Aftermarket Scratch ————————————————— ROOKs are old-model Robotic Occupational Operations Kits engineered for hard labor. They were manufactured in the early days of neural transfer to serve as "short shift" worker wear: sturdy, temporary "bodies" utilized for safety in hazardous conditions.

ROOKs lack the full functionality of modern, bio-cybernetic shells, with limited advanced tech and upgrade options available. They also lack the ability to link to other shells or outside comms, making them useless in crews and incapable of connecting to faction channels for contract support.

Their limited systems do have some benefits as their digital footprint lacks an organic signature, making it possible for ROOKs to mask themselves from UESC sensors for short periods—a useful trick when scouring Tau Ceti IV.

The fact ROOKs are easy and cheap to maintain makes them valued tools alongside a Runner's inventory of shells.
