Zones
The four zones of Tau Ceti IV and the Marathon, with their modes and every point of interest the game describes, including its guaranteed and sporadic loot. Maps are the game's own map art, placed in world space by lining them up with the zones' level geometry, with the game's POI coordinates plotted on top.
Perimeter
New Cascadia Colony Research Expansion
Originally part of colony expansion efforts, site shows signs of developmental redirection toward radiological and geological surveillance.
Station
Operational zone support facility from the colony's first major expansion.
North Relay
One of two massive scientific collection, tracking, and transmission relay sites.
Hauler
Main excavation support depot during the Data Wall's construction.
Overflow
Geological research site. Likely left unfinished after New Cascadia's collapse.
South Relay
One of two massive scientific collection, tracking, and transmission relay sites.
Dire Marsh
New Cascadia Colony Agricultural Production
The Dire Marsh facilities focused on the research and active development of hybrid food sources. Evidence of a quarantine operation indicates a dark period in colony history. Apparent point of emergence of the Anomaly.
Quarantine
Makeshift isolation and treatment site run by the UESC to contain an unusual contagion.
Complex
Heavily restricted during the colony era. Once staffed by an elite core of UESC colony administrators and corporate scientists.
Algae Ponds
Agricultural site focused on cultivation of Tau Ceti IV's native algae proteins.
AI Uplink
Comms center for support AI, connecting the various colony sites to one another and the Marathon ship.
Greenhouse
Cultivation center for Sol and Tau Ceti vegetation to support and expand colony viability.
Bio-Research
Research hub for scientists studying Tau Ceti IV's swampland fauna.
Maintenance
Hub for heavy equipment used to maintain the colony's nascent industry and agriculture.
Outpost
New Cascadia Landing Site and UESC Base
A forward operating base for initial planetary colonization efforts, including temporary housing and an orientation area. Degraded cloud-seeding tech periodically covers the area with hazardous rain.
Airfield
A launch and landing location for UESC military vehicles. Civilian access is heavily restricted.
Flight Control
Despite the presence of colony AI, humans and drones also participated in flight control for redundancy and morale.
Dormitories
Compact living quarters for civilian and military personnel working in this area.
Orientation
Orienting new colonists to Tau Ceti IV required a dedicated facility for education, traffic control, and security.
Pinwheel Base
Center of the original landing craft that brought the first wave of specialists down from the Marathon to Tau Ceti IV.
Processing
Industrial-scale processing for minerals, recycling, and other raw materials. The colony could not afford unnecessary waste.
Cryo Archive
TCIV | UESC Marathon | Restricted Cold Storage and Cryo Inception Deck
Cargo
Cryopod storage facility for non-command level colony personnel and their families, as well as cryopreserved stock and supplies.
Steerage
Revival facilities for colony personnel exiting cryosleep. Damaged and inoperative due to systemic cryofluid leaks.
Biostock
Cryo-inducement facility for all non-command level colony personnel, their families, and stock stores.
Control
Control is this zone's central hub connecting all major Cryo Archive regions.
Index
Cryopod storage facility for command level colony and mission leadership, their families, and support staff.
Revival
Revival facilities for colony and mission leadership exiting cryosleep, equipped with state-of-the-art medical suites for comfort and safety.
Preservation
Cryo-inducement facilities for all command level colony and mission leadership, their families, and support staff.
